Antique pair of 19th Century TAISHO Period (1912-1926) Japanese TANSU chests of drawers in Kiri Sugi Wood with original forged iron opening handles, standing on a plinth base with a crystal top. One of the chests features 7 large drawers, while the other has 5 large plus 4 smaller ones. Wear consistent with age and use, some overall restoration may be necessary. Dimensions are altogether 71" width, 49.5" height, 15.5" depth. A fine decorative pair that would do well in most homes especially of rustic or modern interiors. The Chest is located in Los Angeles and will be shipped by truck anywhere in the country. Shipping costs will be calculated based on buyer's preference and location.
